Shoppers walk through racks of gently used and sometimes brand new clothing, plus jewelry, shoes, linens, children’s toys, seasonal decor, luggage, books, furniture, and small appliances, all priced to move quickly and all sourced entirely from local donations.
What sets the Nearly New Shop apart from a typical thrift store is its three-part mission: raise funds for Junior League programs, give the Greenville community an outlet to buy quality clothing and household goods at nominal prices, and serve as a hands-on training ground for League members who staff the sales floor alongside paid employees. That structure has kept the shop running consistently since it opened, and in 2026 the store is celebrating its 75th anniversary, a milestone that puts it among the longest continuously operating resale shops in the Upstate. Across that history the shop has grown into a genuine community fixture, drawing an estimated 1,500 shoppers a month, or roughly 18,000 customers a year, who come back for the constantly rotating inventory.
The Nearly New Shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
