Barbara and Wes Boyer met in law school in 1980 and became close friends years before they became a married couple, bonded early on by a shared fascination with antiques, history, and the hunt for a great find. That partnership eventually produced two historic homes: an antebellum Greek Revival house in Linton, Georgia, that Wes inherited and the couple restored in 2008, and a second historic property in downtown Macon they purchased in 2015. By 2022, with both houses full and no more room left for new discoveries, Barbara and Wes opened 3250 Antiques and More at 3250 Vineville Avenue in Macon, giving their treasure-hunting habit a storefront of its own.
The shop, whose full name on its storefront reads 3250 Antiques and More, Garden, Gifts and Decor, describes itself on Facebook as the Macon destination for fine furniture and beautiful antique decor, and its Instagram account has highlighted finds such as striking Asian pieces alongside the more expected mix of Southern antiques.
